This is my back yard (click on photos to get a larger view). 2 summers ago, it was dark and filled with trees. Leaves covered the ground, about 5 inches thick. Last summer, it was wide open, no grass, just dirt. This summer, (after lots of lawn care) it's finally growing beautifully. About 2 pm every day, the sun moves to the front of the house and we are able to sit out on the back deck in the shade. It's great! We enjoy watching the squirrels and taking in the nice VA air. My favorite day is having steaks cooked on the grill, baked potato with LOTS of butter, fresh salad from the garden, and sweet corn-on-the-cob.
I'm hungry :o(

Let me draw a mental picture for you. Your sitting at a light. You're in the fast lane, the slow lane is to your right. You pick that lane because you go that route every single day on the way home from work and you know that as soon as you get through the light, the slow lane will end. You look over to your right and see 3 cars. When the light turns green, the 3 cars FLOOR IT just so they can get up in front of you. You're think.. "haha, what idiots!"
3 seconds later, you see their break lights because the traffic that went through the light JUST before you, are only 200 feet ahead.

Last year in March, I suffered from my first sinus infection. I thought, I MUST have had them before, after all, I do have 35 years under my belt! I was wrong. NEVER in my life had I suffered from face, nose, and ear pain like that! Last month, it happened again. Completely stopped up and in pain. Do all those small children that suffer from reoccuring ear infections, have the same pain that I had? Ugh, those poor children!! A friend recommended Afrin, and let me tell you just how wonderful THAT stuff is! I wouldn't care if it cost 30 dollars a bottle, it would be worth it. Unfortunately, the worst days of that infection, lasted 7 days. Yes, 7 days of agony and Afrin was my best freind.
Last week, I started feeling a bit congested again. Pain in both ears this time, 50/50 clogged up nose. Not TOO bad, I can still BREATHE. Thinking its almost done running its 7 to 10 day course, I woke up today, very congested. It concerned me so I took some Allergy & Sinus Headache medicine. 3 hours later, I am back to the same stage as last month. 100% stopped up. I am so frustrated with not being able to breathe through my nose. I sound like I had been sobbing for hours.
I need quick relief so, I just got off the phone with the "Phone Nurse".
Now, my head is a bit cloudy, so that 5 minute conversation with her was mostly muffled, but I CLEARLY heard (and did NOT mistake) when she said, "There is no other quick relief that I could suggest." Therefore, I am leaving work early to be with my new freind, Afrin, and I will carry it around in a blanket today and sing it a lullabye every 6 hours. It makes me happy when skies are grey.

Okay, I have had it up to here with printers. I've been a dedicated user of Lexmark because I had one that lasted for years and only had minor issues. Well, I have purchased 3 since then and they have all given me problems.. they are all top fed and every single printer will pull the paper down crooked. I CAN"T STAND IT ANYMORE!
I purchased a HP C3100 and I really like it. But I DON'T like how it scans. It's too complicated. It takes about 10 minutes to go through all the crap of selections and what-not. I want to be able to click on ONE button and scan! IF I can't have both (a FINE looking print job AND scanner) Then I will just have to deal with the scanning issues. I NEED to be able to set it to print 20 pages while I go do my darn dishes! I want to come back and see that it has done a beautiful job on it's own! I don't have time to babysit my printer.
So, I would like it if printer users can give me some input... If you are a Lexmark owner, that's fine, but I only want to hear from you if you can suggest what I can do about the paper feed issue, lol. Otherwise, I need suggestions for ANOTHER brand. I am through with the top feed printers!
My Needs:
1) Feeds paper correctly
2) Prints super clear images
3) Easy to refill
4) Scans easily

While applying make-up for the first time in months, my 4 year old, watching, said:
"Mama, you look funny... Like a clown."
--
"Oh? hmmmmmm, I was trying to look pretty.."
--
Now frowning "I was only kidding."
--
"Oh, Okay then.. Thanks.."
We both smiled.
As I passed my 14 year old in the hall:
"You should wear make-up more often mom."

Website redsigning is almost finished along with a full week of late nights with Craig Ferguson. I push myself to stay up and tune-in to his show. I just don't think I have it in me tonight. I'm beat.
Gute Nacht..

I have been working on a new design for my website. I'm very excited! I've had several pages that were under construction this year. I bet that's annoying to people who visit my site each day. Well, NO MORE! I am on vacation this Christmas week and I am using some of my time to re-create. I forbid myself to show it until it's completely finished. It involves everything you see on the screen. In fact, the new menu buttons (which you'll see soon), took an entire day to make. Few people know how much time is really involved in designing a website from scratch. I'm here to tell ya.. it's a LOT. And well worth it :o)
I wonder what kinda of "the day after Christmas sales" are going on today. Great time to spend those gift cards!

I only have 10 minutes until punch out time. Some of the salary people in this company wonder why I sit here till the very last minute each day. I just tell them, I'm a Time Clock Girl. Can't skip out a few minutes early.. I'll get docked a full 15 when my time card said 4:28 pm. I need that extra $1.00, you know. I need lightbulbs!

Well, I really took a leap into something I shouldn't have. I went to 'Yahoo Answers' and asked a question. (I earn points for asking and answering.) So I figured, what the heck.. I'll plug my site and get some feedback on my projects. After 2 hours, someone answered. She said that my things were 'gross'.
OH MY! She must not have seen the new commercial for AFRIN nasal spray.
THAT'S gross.

Howdy! Made some changes to my website today so I can 'make some change'. I hope to eventually become a S.A.H.M. (stay at home mom) and make enough money from the wonderful ads that are now running on my website. That is my goal. Don't fool yourselves future designers... you can NOT make a living selling Plastic Canvas Patterns. I know! Anyways, I need to ad more ads ..I mean add more. It's become an addiction now. I want to have about 70 ads by the time I'm finished.
I think 40 should do it :o)

This is my 2nd post. I've changed the look so many times and no one has a clue. Haha. I'm not impressed with the Templates they have to offer. Maybe I can work my own HTML in. Another time.. It's almost time to leave work and I have to make a last run to Toys-R-Us for the kiddies.
